Virtual Therapy at Total Life - Gilbert Office Only
Whether travel times, schedule challenges, childcare difficulties or mental health barriers prevent in-person appointments, we are happy to now be offering Virtual appointments for our clients. You can now meet a skilled therapist online for counseling services from the comfort of your own home or office! All you need is access to a computer, internet, camera, and a link, and we can provide a confidential, encrypted video connection for counseling. While face to face counseling is preferred, we understand that certain circumstances require special accommodations. Things to know before starting virtual therapy
Requirements for virtual therapy:
Clients must live within the state of Arizona
Currently all telehealth / virtual services are provided via video chat through a secure HIPAA connection
All virtual clients must complete all required paperwork online prior to first appointment
Virtual services are paid via “card on file” system - all clients must have a credit / debit card on-file with our highly secured system to be charged at the start of each session. This requirement is non-negotiable. The on-file card will be collected over the phone by our administrative staff prior to your first appointment.
The cost of virtual therapy sessions is the same as the listed price for the therapist you choose. Insurance can be used for virtual therapy.
All staff providing therapy sessions virtually are qualified to do so.
Research is still inconclusive on the effectiveness of virtual therapy compared to in-person therapy.
Virtual therapy may be less effective for certain conditions. We recommend doing research on whether your goals for therapy are best suited for virtual appointments.

Virtual Therapy at Total Life Counseling is NOT available for clients under 10 years old

You’ll be emailed a portal invite which will allow you to complete necessary paperwork. Through this portal you will be able to schedule and manage appointments as well as communicate with your therapist.

Payment and Fees
Total Life Counseling is currently working with several leading insurance companies for contracting. We are proud to accept most major commercial plans for virtual therapy. Cost for virtual appointments are the same as in-person services.
