Felicia graduated from ASU with her degree in Special Education and spent 28 years teaching individuals with intellectual impairments. 25 of those 28 years was at Marcos de Niza High School in the Tempe Union High School District before retiring in December of 2021. She received her Master’s in Counseling from ASU and became a Licensed Associate Counselor in 2009. Felicia has worked with both adults and adolescents using a cognitive behavioral approach. She has also recently obtained certification in DBT and training in EMDR.
Felicia frequently incorporates spirituality in her counseling process, believing that this type of approach offers the client the best opportunity to resolve whatever issues they may be facing. The opportunity to assist her clients in their healing process is her most rewarding experience.
Felicia has been married since 2005 and enjoys traveling with her husband. She is also the guardian of one of her former students with special needs. Felicia is actively involved in the community and has volunteered her counseling services at the Phoenix Veterans Home, Tempe's Aide to Women's Center and on the Crisis Text Line. She has a Pit bull named Noelle that keeps her busy as well
